Vincent Ostera founded Xtreme Guns and Ammo and owns the business today. He works out of the shop in Richmond, Texas, in the Houston metro, where the company has built the largest Staccato 2011 inventory in the country and a curated line-up of premium rifle brands that most regional dealers cannot match. He writes the guides and explainers on this site.

The articles here are the answers customers ask for across the counter, written down properly. Suppressor mechanics. Cartridge comparisons. What a chassis actually does. Why two scopes with identical glass carry different numbers on the turret.
They are written to be useful whether or not you ever buy anything here. That means saying when a product is the wrong fit, quoting real figures rather than marketing ones, and pointing legal questions at the ATF or a licensed dealer instead of guessing at them.
Nobody is born knowing this material. The shop's view is that a first-time buyer deserves the same straight answer as a PRS competitor, and the writing is meant to read that way.
Where the expertise comes from
Xtreme Guns and Ammo is an FFL dealer and sells NFA items, including suppressors and other Class 3 weapons, which means the shop handles the paperwork and the transfers rather than reading about them.
It is the nation's largest dealer for Staccato 2011 pistols, and carries LWRC International, Falkor Defense, NEMO Arms and MasterPiece Arms bolt action rifles at the same depth. The shop is also a distributor for Proof Research rifles and barrels and for Trijicon Electro Optics.
Alongside the retail side, the business runs gunsmithing, customization, repair and maintenance work, and firearms training and educational programs for shooters at any level. It sponsors local shooting events and works with shooting associations in the area.
