This is due to the new and approve locking system of Desert Tech SRS-A2 Covert chassis. Desert Tech has shaved a little over 2 lbs off the complete rifle with their new SRS chassis and lighter hunter profile couture barrels. These latest SRS-A2 barrels are more accurized than the traditional SRS-A1 Barrels. All Desert Tech SRS A2 Covert Rifles feature a new bolt design for a smoother action and reduced bolt lock up. It also has a upgraded adjustable trigger that is precisely tuned to have no trigger creep. Finally Desert tech switched their dreaded tread pitch on barrels, to the standardized 5/8 x 24 TPI.
