The Mongoose features NEMO ARM’s own short recoil operating system, designed to minimize felt recoil impulse. This low recoil system features redundant locking lugs, instead of a traditional straight blow back system found in most pistol caliber carbines.

The NEMO Mongoose features a front cap compensator designed to reduce muzzle climb and to ensure firing when muzzle contact is made. Each Mongoose is outfitted with a ambidextrous safety, bolt catch, mag release and ambi none reciprocating charging handle. It’s ambidextrous charging handle can easily be switched to either left or right side charging in a matter of seconds. Furthermore, the Mongoose is deigned to easily be field stripped and cleaned.
