The CMMG Dissent Br47 7.62X39 has been hailed as a do-it-all hunting/self-defense/sporting rifle offering AR ergonomics, AK magazine compatibility and strong suppressor readiness. Built on CMMG's Buffer-less Compact Direct Impingement Action, the traditional buffer tube is replaced with an internal, buffer-less recoil system while still retaining AR style controls and handling. CMMG offers the Br47 7.62X39 with a choice of a 16.1 inch threaded barrel, a 16.1 inch non-threaded Empire Profile barrel, with a recessed crown, or a 14.3 inch Pinned and Welded barrel. A ZEROED SVD muzzle brake on the 14.3 P&W barrel takes the overall length to 16.1 inches, satisfying the ATF requirements to be a rifle, while shortening the rifle to its most maneuverable and versatile size, still allowing for the attachment of accessories and suppressors. A mid length gas port on all of the Br47 models, with an adjustable 0.750 inch gas block provides tuning for different loads and optimizes suppressed and unsuppressed operation.

All CMMG Dissent Br47 7.62X39 models offer the 7075-T6 Aluminum upper and a Mk47 Billet 7075 Aluminum lower that provide a rigid foundation with modern AR style controls. Each Dissent Br47 uses a Remington 870-compatible Magpul SGA shotgun-style stock that provides a more traditional sporting/ranch rifle feel with an adjustable length of pull via spacers and sling attachment points integrated into the stock. Additionally, a reversible, side charging handle makes manipulation easy, while still keeping the rifle on target, and incorporates a reversible cross-bolt safety. CMMG's ZEROED single-stage trigger delivers a clean break suited for defensive or general purpose shooting. Every Dissent Br47 also uses a proprietary free-float M-LOK handguard, from 13.5 - 15 inches, depending on the configuration, with a full length Picatinny top rail to add optics and sights.
