The CMMG Dissent Mk3 8.6 BLK Pistol joins the .308 Win and 6.5 Creedmoor in the Dissent Mk3 family. This large frame counterpart to the 300 BLK offers a fast barrel twist rate and allows the 8.6 BLK Dissent to match or exceed 300 BLK suppression performance while throwing heavier bullets. Every buffer-less, Mk3 8.6 BLK pistol is built around CMMG's Compact Action system using an AR10/LR 308 size receiver set, a side charging upper and either a 16.1 inch or 12.5 inch Chrome-Moly barrel. CMMG keeps the Mk3 8.6 BLK package compact using internal guide rods and a shortened carrier. Long heavy bullets, at subsonic velocities, are stabilized in the short 12.5 inch barrel with the 1:3 twist, while still delivering solid energy at distance. Additionally, a 1913 Picatinny rail end plate, on the rear of the Dissent Mk3, makes attaching accessories like sling mounts, braces and other accessories possible. On the 16.1 inch barrel, folding stocks can be added without becoming an NFA item and having to register as an SBR. Other features included on each Dissent Mk3 8.6 BLK pistol include a reversible, non-reciprocating side charging handle, mounted in the upper, that eliminates the standard rear AR charging handle and assists with use under optics. Also included are CMMB ZEROED abmi-style controls that include a 60/90 degree safety, integrated trigger guard and the proprietary pistol grip. Shooters wanting to shoot suppressed, or just want to fine tune the Dissent to preferred ammo, can accomplish this with the adjustable gas block that gives the freedom to dial in the exact gas system needed.
