Every Dark Forge Double Stack 1911 pistol starts with an ultra-durable carbon-steel frame and a stainless-steel slide for maximum longevity. Both the frame and slide are hand-fitted—hand-lapped to produce one of the smoothest actions, making slide racking effortless. Each Dark Forge pistol is also equipped with a full CNC-machined aluminum double-stack magwell that accepts both DS 1911 and 2011-style magazines. The grip module features a medium-aggressive texture for excellent control and includes a removable flared magwell for fast, trouble-free reloads. Additionally, every D.F. pistol has a pinned backstrap safety for reliability when it matters most. Dark Forge pistols come with a super-crisp 2 to 2.5 lb flat-blade trigger that delivers excellent trigger control with virtually no take-up. All Dark Forge pistol models feature CNC-machined slides that allow direct mounting of any Trijicon RMR or SRO optic, as well as any optic sharing the same footprint—eliminating the need for hard-to-find, expensive aftermarket optic plates. Furthermore, every D.F. pistol is DLC-coated for superior durability and finish protection.
