The LWRC IC A5 Upper Receiver is LWRCI’s flagship AR-15 Upper Receiver, Featuring a short stroke gas piston system. LWRC’s A5 Upper is available in many barrel lengths to choose; 16.1, 14.7, 12.7 and 10.5 inch. These uppers will fit any mill-spec AR-15 Lower receiver. Each IC A5 Upper comes with a Cold hammer Forged Black Nitride treated Spiral Fluted Barrel with 1:7 twist. With exception of the 10.5 inch upper, it is only available in a none fluted heavy barrel. Its 1/7 twist barrel likes the .223/5.56 62 grain and loves the 75-77 grain bullets. Its bolt carrier is a nickel boron coated one piece design with rear relief cuts, the relief cuts allow for water drainage out of the rear of the bolt. allowing the upper to be shot without draining the barrel. Also LWRCi’S 5.56 Upper Receiver is mono-forged for maximum strength securing the barrel assembly to improve accuracy. The charging handle is ambidextrous to accommodate right handed or left handed shooters, making charging easier with a optic mounted on the upper.
