Heckler Koch’s HK P2000 series is short recoil operated pistols with a modified Browning type cam action and a vertically tilting barrel. Offering many features of the HK USP series it likens to the self-loading pistols and modern link-less semi autos.
The HK P2000 series is modular to suit individual shooter’s needs. Included is a modular grip with exchangeable backstraps that allows customization of the pistol’s grip size and feel. Built into the dust cover is a universal accessory rail allowing for the use of tactical lights, laser pointers and other accessories. A hammered fired pistol, it has an ambidextrous slide lock and a fully ambidextrous magazine release installed in the trigger guard. Offered in this series is the cold hammer-forged barrel with a polygonal profile and a slide made from a solid bar of nitro-carburized steel. The P2000 series uses impact-resistant polymers to reduce weight and production costs.
