The B&T APC9K SD2 (Advanced Police Carbine) is the shortest, integrally suppressed submachine gun available, measuring less than 15 inches overall. Optimized for low visibility and discreet deployment, this Sub Compact Weapon (SCW) delivers extreme accuracy, controllability and ergonomics. Sporting a 3 inch ported barrel, combined with an over the barrel suppressor fully contained within a short SD diameter handguard, the APC9K SD2 meets the threshold of hearing safe with certain ammunition.
This B&T APC9K SD2 is a demonstration of available technology, submitted to the United States Army for its Sub Compact Weapon (SCW) trials. Offering never before seen advancements in compactness, ergonomics and integral scalable suppression, it was selected, and awarded, the U.S. Army’s SCW contract, as it delivered exactly what the Army required for its mission. To win a US Government contract, the submitted product must meet the defined specifications as close as possible — not what the manufacturer thinks the end user needs, or even a product that is scalable to best suit its future needs. B&T’s APC9K SD2 is exactly what the Army ordered.
