The MC Armor Backpack Body Armor Insert (Level IIIA) is protection that is designed for the inside of a backpack or traveling bag. Resilient and lightweight, this life-defense ballistic insert is 0.33 inches thick and weighs only 1.65 pounds. MC Armor has made the Backpack Body Armor Insert available in two sizes; 19 inches X 12 inches and the 15 inch X 11 inch size for a child’s backpack or bag. Every MC Armor Backpack Body Armor Insert carries the NIJ level IIIA certification. To merit Level IIIA NIJ Certification the Backpack Insert is conditioned and must resist 125g .357 SIG FMJ FN projectiles with a velocity of 1410 fps and 240g, .44 Magnum and 5.7×28 projectiles with a velocity of 1340 fps. protecting users against almost all handgun rounds.
