They dump the heavy steel grip and replaced it with the lighter aluminum one, to reduce the overall weight of the gun. Next Atlas added a custom cut rubber grip tape to improve overall grip. Then they added beefed up thumb safeties, That are more positive. The trigger was then taken to a 3-3.5 pound perfect trigger to make it suitable for duty carry.
