Aero Precision AR10/M5 Receiver Sets are available in either stripped or assembled versions. A combination of an M5/.308 upper receiver and an M5/.308 lower receiver, all are machined from 7075-T6 Forged aluminum. Aero Precision upper receivers feature M4 feedramps and .2795 takedown pin holes Lower receivers include all the features Aero Precision is known for and Special Editions are available in Freedom and Texas models. The special editions have engravings on the lower. Aero Precision offers the receiver sets in Black and Flat Dark Earth.

Aero Precision is well regarded as the preferred OEM manufacturer for some of the biggest names in AR 15 rifles. Most AR shooters have handled, or owned, at least one Aero AR OEM upper or lower receiver. They got into the OEM firearms manufacturing business after someone in the company made a successful initial run of receivers, transitioning the company from aerospace production to firearms. Parts manufactured look different but forging, milling, finishing and QC remained the same. Aero Precision launched a consumer side in 2012 to sell its own AR 15 products.
