The HK MR556 75th Anniversary Limited Edition Rifle is an opportunity to own a piece of Heckler Koch’s history. Only 500 limited edition rifles, chambered in 223 Remington / 556NATO, will be available and only for a limited time. Two finishes are offered, Cerakote Flecktarn and Cerakote Tropentarn, camo patterns that are used by the Bundeswehr, the German armed forces. Germany’s Bundeswehr has adopted many HK weapons, uninterrupted, back to the G3 in the 1950’s – its very first rifle acquisition. No other relationship in HK’s history is more valued or celebrated. Every HK 75th Anniversary (MR556) rifle is engraved with HK’s 75th Anniversary logo and is delivered in a custom-cut polymer hard case, with four 30 round or four 10 round magazines and a commemorative 75th Anniversary coin. These beautiful HK Anniversary Rifles are also available in California compliant models.
Heckler and Koch’s HK MR556 75th Anniversary Limited Edition Rifle is a direct descendant of the HK416 and an improvement over conventional AR type carbines and rifles. Developed by HK as a premium level commercial/civilian firearm, the MR556 is built on the HK gas piston operating system and offers a piston and solid operating “pusher” rod in place of the gas tube normally found in AR15, M16 and M4 style weapons. This far superior system virtually eliminates malfunctions by eliminating hot carbon fouling and keeping waste gases from entering the receiver.
