The HK USP 45 Expert (Universal Self-loading Pistol), was originally designed for the American market and is now accepted internationally an accurate and reliable firearm. HK’s USP 45 controls are influenced by the Government Model 1911 pistol. A USP control and a combination safety and de-cocking lever, are quickly accessible as they are frame mounted.
Every HK USP 45 Expert Pistol sports a modified Browning-type action and the USP recoil reduction system lowers recoil forces felt by the shooter. Also reducing recoil effects on the pistol components, this system was developed for the U.S. Special Operations and is this same recoil reduction system that was tested and proven in the Mark 23 pistol. Insensitive to ammunition types, the USP recoil reduction system requires no special adjustment or maintenance and its modular design and internal components allow the ambidextrous function of the control lever. Heckler Koch offers the HK USP 45 Expert V1 DA/SA with a V1 double/single action (DA/SA) trigger system and a choice of two 12 round or two 10 round magazines.
